Anthony Childs When I purchased this over a year ago the musician included a comment mentioning this recording was significantly influenced by the American band Duster but that comment has since been replaced by a sort of review. Additionally, I think there was a 2nd shorter release but that seems to have been deleted. Despite this being Duster influenced to a fault, (including the "analog + okay" comment) it is still excellent and i'd buy it again if it manages to get a vinyl or CD release.

"As far as I can tell, Weltraumrauschen is a one-man operation. If so, they make a mighty impressive, cohesive, and complete kind of sound.
As far as I can tell, that name translates as space noise. If so, it’s pretty damn apt.
Sure, there are some lo-fi burbles, bleak lyrics, and downer jams on the band’s debut album, ‘Nothing to Hope For’, but in between are atmospheric whispers, cosmic loops, and the sigh of settling moon dust. Space isn’t jet boosters and laser blasts, it sounds like this. In their own words, it’s “something like borderline bedroom pop”.
As far as I can tell, it’s a pretty perfect soundtrack for nights like these in years like this.
For fans of Duster, Mogwai, space noise, and just a little sadness."
